Business Scaling & Today’s Leaders

The Boss Argument.

It can be said there is a real vacuum for true leadership talent. In any conversation. a large percentage of workers in America have a passionate dislike for their boss and overall leadership in the workplace. Why do people have an uncomfortable feeling for their boss or team leader?

Often, people who work for a living as employees have a direct boss or team leader to whom they report. The intention of these leaders is to guide and steer their people for productivity and results. In addition to the aforementioned, these leaders are responsible for relationship management with their employees and team members.

 The Interview

The interview with Ron was a river flow of information for those who may be managers, companies owners or Human resources specialist.  His primary function at Navalent is helping global startup and large companies scale and grow their business. Often as explained by Ron, companies don’t know the difference between scaling and growth for their company.  The companies executives Ron works with are usually in the throes of messy and transformational change. Transformational change is not immediate, often requiring years of involvement and tweaking.

One of the greatest lessons Navalent has learned was leaders don’t contextualize properly and adapt to a new paradigm.  Localization is the major force behind the contextualization, understand the same method does not work in each scenario.  This contextualization is truly relevant in regional transplanted companies from different geographic areas. Additionally, the perception of millennials in the work place have the related issues.

Millennials in the work place

We talked a good clip about millennials and how this particular generation has scaled and built “businesses who employ workers are at the bottom of the latter related to other generations.  The actual nature of millennials would be less entrepreneur and more Solopreneur.

Growth versus Scaling

The myth concerning growth is understood as doing more of the same with the same amount of resources after driving demand. Scaling is adding revenue faster than accruing cost.  There can be a fine line difference between growth and scale up, but many companies don’t understand the difference.

Finding Creative Mojo with Leslie Noland of Nolan Design

I was wondering how my interview, finding creative mojo with Leslie Noland of Noland design was going to pan out. Let’s say if someone tells me they can help me get my MOJO back working, I’m suspicious. Usually, the mention/thought of therapy or other methods to will get you back into the groove of being yourself comes to mind. Leslie has a different approach, being an artist of high emotional and spiritual intelligence, bringing alternate methods to the forefront to help people. What I did not expect was such a down to earth conversation about finding one’s own center by tapping the creative power we all have available.

My sense of the world gives me the feeling we are emotional cerebral society. Humans justify emotional responses with cerebral logic. Basically, we live too much in our heads and forget the true message delivered by the heart. The cerebral mechanism seems to have has taken over our globe connection process, and the world needs people like Leslie to remind our consciousness there are alternate methods for connecting with the eternal self.

Life Change – Do A Day -Bryan Falchuk

Change is constant for the living and is made in small increment. There is a constant though related to change, it can’t come quick enough when change is a choice.  Often change is pressed upon us via circumstances.

Personal Life Change - Do A Day -Bryan Falchuk
Personal Life Change – Do A Day -Bryan Falchuk

I was dying just a little slower. During my interview with Bryan Falchuk hearing the statement mentioned in. The previous statement was jarring.

My guest on the Billionaire Lifestyle podcast, Bryan Falchuk is the blueprint for reinventing who and what any of us are as human beings on the journey Earth.  Bryan didn’t know six plus years ago his wife and child would be the inspiration for massive positive changes for the next phase of his life.

Bryan’s pivotal life moment manifested when he realized circumstances may be out of his control. Instead of giving in to the moment, he decided to take back control of the life aspect he put on apathy autopilot.  Realizing he and we are responsible for how we live our life was his new life mission.

Health, economics, and preservation of self is part of living. We can neglect our health and finances for only so long before we feel the negative consequences. Living your life is about growing, and growing requires maintaining the bare minimum status while looking forward to positive increase.

Bryan’s wife was at the mercy of a chronic illness. While situated between his wife who was losing two pounds a day and his son, Bryan realized he had several responsibilities bestowed upon him mantel.

  • Help his wife to become healthier.
  • Raise his some with the best examples.
  • Maximize his living experience for health, and living for his family.

He knew in that moment he shares with his wife and young son, that he was slowly killing himself as he watched his wife battle with her illness. “I was dying, just a bit slower than my wife,” Bryan stated during our conversation.

Bryan was overweight, depressed and not happy, but it was all an internal reaction to the outside world. The decision to change was made.  A result of life provided a path to Bryan’s journey and inspiration for Do a Day book.

Bryan knew he had to lose weight while maintaining a healthy lifestyle to inspire and direct his family. His son was a heavy motivator for making life changes.

Failing To Plan Is Planning To Fail.

People have a variety of individual challenges in their life. Most fail to meet their individual goals. Goal achievement requires specific planning and dedication. We are all full of excuses, usually stemming from comfort zones. We all make goals but don’t commit to them in the long term. The flip side is not committing to your goal for the long term.

Success in achieving goals requires planning and measurement. Bryan reinforced planning and goal achievement failure to partial commitment. Making change requires small dedicated behavior changes for the long term. When your goal has been obtained the next challenge is to set the bar higher. Many people try to deter your efforts and shun our work. Making significant changes are difficult, but internal resolve is dire.

BRYAN FALCHUK – Personal Change

Bryan Falchuk overcame adversity via personal change, lost nearly 100 pounds, ran a marathon, dramatically change his diet and created an approach to help others live a better life, every day. That way is Do a Day. Like so many people, Bryan has faced challenges in life, like obesity, depression, work stress, the responsibilities of parenthood, the potential of losing his wife to illness, and more. And he struggled, like anyone else. Through his struggle, he learned the secret to not just overcoming any individual challenge, but creating a life of achievement, happiness, and harmony. In Do a Day, you will learn how to make each day contribute to your goals so you can live the life you want to live – a better life. Do a Day frees you of the burden and judgment of yesterday‘s choices while relieving you of the pressure of what tomorrow may bring. By teaching you how to identify your true motivation and how to use that to focus on what you have to do today, Do a Day will help you change your life.

DO A Day

Certified Personal Trainer and Behavior Change Specialist, Bryan helps people change their lives for the better. He is a
husband, father, brother, uncle, son, and more. Bryan spent the first half of his life obese, and much of the second half trying not
to be obese again until he discovered the approach to change all that – Do a Day. Using Do A Day, Bryan was able to break from
this pattern to live a life of consistent, unending health and wellness, and works to share what he’s learned with others
seeking a happier, more complete existence through . As Bryan says, people don’t change, lives do. His goal is to help
people change their lives. Bryan changed his life while staying true to himself. So can you make changes for your own life.
Tomorrow is a new Day for all of us. You can wake up and Do it.

Finding Purpose – Debbie N. Goldberg Interview

Spiritual Maturity

What am I to do? What is my Purpose?

Have you ever been on the wrong path, knowing what you are doing or into is not really your truth? There are expectations of every human being which are not our own. Families and communities try their best to give us a way to fit into the cog of society. Often these steered directions don’t resonate with who we are. Funny, but true, may humans live a life feeling as if they are missing their true direction.

I can clearly remember in my youth, people I would meet who’s parents had a predetermined path for their children. Only to find them washing out of whatever endeavor their parents had set for their future.

 Debbie N. Goldberg’s Journey

Debbie N. Goldberg Author and speaker
Debbie N. Goldberg – Finding Purpose

Debbie Goldberg had the very similar scenario. She was working herself to death in a career she felt was missing something. The big question for every human has been, including Debbie is, what is my purpose. There is a common understanding we are alive/living beings. The acts related to being alive and experiencing a certain reality is an understated spoken fact of truth. Lingering from the moments we can construct a full thought is what is the point of being here on Earth.

Debbie found herself working like a slave and in the process slowly killing herself on all levels, mentally spiritually and physically. Something had to change and she needed a kick in the pants to make that change.

Physical Maturity versus Spiritual maturity.

Society considers and recognizes us humans as an adult based purely on reaching a number of years on the planet for the most part. Reinforced during the interview with Debbie was maturity is more than just a physical age. Our spiritual being also has a maturing process. Common in most languages is the term “Old Soul”. Well, that is a real manifestation. Recently I began hearing the term of a “Young Soul”.

Debbie laid it out during our interview regarding the maturity of souls and her journey. She stated, living here on earth is an exercise for experience, growth, and learning. Some humans have been on this planet in various incarnations while others are relatively new to the physical occupation.

Life for Debbie began to change well into her adulthood. She had a successful business and was working with too much drive for success and to prove herself to others. She had not defined the goal of success. In essence, she was working hard to be working hard.  The pivotal moment came when she had a falling out with her son and his wife in 2014. THe situation cause some heartbreak.  Debbie did something most people can’t. She questioned herself, asking what is it I’m doing to cause this problem?

Enter Jesus.

During a guided meditation session Debbie met Jesus by a pool. Yes, I said that correctly. During her meditation, Jesus shows up and began hanging out.  Over time, continuing the meditation the relationship developed. There is one item I must mention Debbie recognized herself as a cultural Jew. So Jesus showing up was a little confusing for her. Initially,  verbal communication did not occur until she began by saying “hello” to Jesus. After verbal acknowledgment began, the information dialogue began to flow. You may say that is crazy, but it is not if you open your thought process.

The Guide

The conversations with her new found guide in Jesus began a new path in life and basic lessons.

  • Earth is a playground for souls to mature toward higher levels of consciousness.
  • Life is an Illusion.
  • The ego is her to protect us but can hinder our progress.
  • The Soul is in human form and also connect universally.
  • The Soul has a contract with the source to learn in THIS lifetime.
  • We all have a purpose.
  • Everything we experience is a reflection of what is inside of us.
  • We are all connected to each other and the universal consciousness.
  • We are all Devine.

Sometimes we look so hard for a complex answer if the obvious is missing. Debbie Goldberg has a clue for us to move forward and find our direction and purpose. The interview I had with Debbie was an affirmation related to how the construction of organized religion has skewed our sense of spiritual essence. She spelled out how our ego can be with all of its good intentions hinder spiritual progressing.

The Ego

Eckhart Tolle talks a great deal about the EGO’s negative effect on living. Debbie affirmed many of Eckhart’s theories.

The ego is her to protect us, much like an overbearing parent. THe ego is pulling from a time when life on this planet was extremely harsh. Dangerous situations were everywhere compared to modern living. The ego evolved to keep us in safe conditions. In doing its work, the Ego can hinder your growth by limiting the learning process, by limiting experiences.

The Interview.

Here are a few point played out during the interview.

  •  Finding purpose is easy if you are open.
  • Meditate to get away from the Ego.
  • Think inward.
  • Hear with your heart, where the soul resides.
  • God talks to us through our heart.
  • If you don’t know your purpose then Ask.
  • Life is an illusion you can control.
  • We are all connected.
  • If you want to talk to the spirit, invite a good spirit to communicate with you.
  •  Learn to breathe properly, breathing correctly opens your energy.
